IEs4Linux
IEs4Linux is a tool that allows you to use Microsoft Internet Explorer on Linux. It uses Wine and it’s mostly useful for web developers that need multiple platforms for testing, but also for regular users browsing websites designed for IE.
The installation is simple, just download the tarball and run ies4linux. Installation instructions for specific distributions are available here.
wine and cabextract are the only dependencies. You can install multiple versions of Microsoft IE and Adobe Flash 9 plugin. So far, only Internet Explorer 6.0 and 5.5 are supported. IE 7 can be installed too, but it’s considered Beta.
Once you click OK, the installer will attempt to download all necessary CAB files and extract them.
Upon a successful installation, a launcher (shortcut) is created on desktop for each installed IE version.
More information is available on the project homepage.
